Before any treatment is carried out, it is always important to ascertain the cause for tooth discolouration. If the cause of discolouration is intrinsic, that is, below the surface of the enamel, then bleaching will not work. Usually, if teeth are stained beneath the surface of the enamel the only way to whiten teeth is with a treatment like veneers or dental crowns. If the discolouration is extrinsic, that is, the enamel of your teeth is stained, a bleaching treatment should work.

In-office teeth whitening
The in-office teeth whitening treatment we offer has a high success rate and is popular with our patients. This teeth whitening treatment can whiten your teeth up to 8 shades in a one-hour appointment. This treatment involves applying a whitening adhesive to your teeth which is activated by a special light in 15-minute bursts.
At-home teeth whitening
You will be given instructions on the correct use of your trays and gel so you achieve maximum results. Although you can achieve the same look as patients who choose the in-office treatment, the gel you use is not as concentrated so your desired results may take between 10 to 12 days to achieve.
